Joffe MediCenter: A family company founded on a and committed to patient care
Joffe MediCenter was founded in late 2007 by Stephen N. Joffe, M.D., and his son, Craig. Stephen Joffe, M.D. FACS is the founder and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LCA-Vision, Inc., one of the leading providers of laser vision correction services in the United States under the LasikPlus brand.
Formerly a practicing general surgeon and tenured, full professor at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Dr. Joffe recognized in the mid-1970s the revolutionary role of laser technology in significantly advancing patient care across medical disciplines. In addition to founding LCA Vision and serving as its Chairman & Chief Executive Officer for over a decade, Dr. Joffe was also the founder of a successful laser technology device company, and previously established a professional management company that assisted hospitals and medical centers throughout the United States in managing their laser and minimally invasive surgery programs.
Needless to say, from a relatively young age, Craig Joffe grew up thinking about laser vision correction, particularly after he, too, had LASIK and was able to enjoy his world free of the hassle of glasses and contacts. Craig was on the Board of Directors of LCA Vision in its infancy from 1995-1997 while completing his studies at Harvard Law School. After a number of years working in corporate finance in New York and London - first as a business attorney and then for a large media and entertainment company – Craig followed his passion and moved with his family back to Cincinnati in March 2003 to work with his father to grow LCA Vision.
The commitment to passion quality of care that has been a cornerstone of Dr. Joffe’s career for over four decades was both successfully passed onto, and shared with deep conviction by, Craig. It was with much excitement that Joffe MediCenter was born, initially launching in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area. With a philosophy based on the “Basics” – providing exceptional patient quality of care, customer service “worthy of a referral,” and great Value – Joffe MediCenter has selectively and strategically expanded to several other markets, giving to thousands of patients the amazing Gift of Sight.
With decades of collective experience and a deep, genuine commitment to our patients, we invite you to contact us, so you, too, can find out for yourself why Joffe MediCenter truly is the Simple choice for Custom LASIK.
