Dr. Joffe recognized over a decade ago that when it comes to your eyes, one size does NOT fit all.  So, at Joffe MediCenter, we provide a FREE, comprehensive, fully dilated vision examination with our doctors and team of experienced medical professionals to carefully determine if laser vision correction is a safe choice for you.  During your vision examination at Joffe MediCenter, we use advanced diagnostic testing, including the Orbscan and custom wavefront analyzers, to measure thousands of separate data points of the cornea, create three-dimensional maps of your corneal structure, and carefully analyze the way light travels through your eye.  This ensures that we have the critical data we need about your eye and your vision to determine if you are a good candidate for laser vision correction.

At Joffe MediCenter, we are proud to offer you the latest in laser vision correction technology at no additional charge: Custom Wavefront LASIK. Custom LASIK is a procedure that enables your doctor to even further customize the conventional LASIK procedure to your individual eyes.  Adapted from state-of-the-art technology used in astronomy, Custom Wavefront LASIK is a procedure that uses a vast array of microsensors and a laser.

No two people have the same wavefront measurements, and with Custom Wavefront LASIK our doctors are able to customize the treatment to your individual eyes.  It is no surprise that Food and Drug Administration (FDA) studies show that Custom Wavefront LASIK may produce even better vision than is possible with contact lenses or glasses.  Some FDA trials showed that more than 70% of custom LASIK patients saw better than 20/20, with the majority of patients who had custom LASIK finding their night vision to be better after the procedure than it was with their glasses or contact lenses.
